About Gobez Coffee

Gobez Coffee is unique because we’re built on integrity and long-term partnership—not just great beans.

We ensure:
  • Direct relationships + transparent supply chains (so you know where your coffee comes from)
  • Fair, above-market payments to producers (so value reaches the people doing the work)
  • Support for smallholder communities (strengthening the farming side, not just the final product)
  • Fully traceable lots from farm to export (clear, verifiable origin—not vague sourcing claims)

Gobez Coffee is a specialty Ethiopian coffee importer based in the U.S., dedicated to delivering
premium, traceable green coffee directly from Ethiopia’s most celebrated regions. Our goal is simple: strengthen the connection between Ethiopian farmers and U.S. roasters through trust, traceability, and lasting relationships—so every bag reflects both exceptional coffee and real accountability.

Our Coffee

Many of our partner farms follow organic and natural growing practices. When a coffee holds official certification, it will be clearly labeled on its product page. Others are grown using organic practices but aren’t certified (certification can be costly for small farms). We’ll always be transparent about what each coffee is—and isn’t.

Yes. We offer whole bean for maximum freshness, along with grind options tailored to popular brewing methods like espresso, pour-over, drip, and French press.

We roast in small batches and ship fast—typically within 7 business days of roasting. Whenever possible, your bag includes a roast date so you know exactly how fresh it is.

We source exclusively from Ethiopia, especially Guji (Uraga, Hambela, Shakiso), Yirgacheffe (Gedeb, Kochere), Sidama, and the Oromia highlands, and if you ever have questions about a coffee’s origin or what to expect in the cup, our team is always happy to help. (Uraga, Hambela, Shakiso), Yirgacheffe (Gedeb, Kochere), Sidama, Illu Aba Bor, West Arsi / Nansebo and other Oromia highlands, and if you ever have questions about a coffee’s origin or what to expect in the cup, our team is always happy to help.

Orders & Shipping

We can change or cancel orders before they enter roasting/packing. Because we roast to order, this window is often short—please email us ASAP with your order number and we’ll do our best to help.
Yes—we ship worldwide where carriers support delivery. International orders may incur customs duties or import taxes set by your country (paid by the recipient). If you’d like, contact us before ordering and we’ll help confirm options for your location.
You’ll receive a tracking link as soon as your order ships. You can also check order details anytime within your Gobez Coffee account.
U.S. orders typically arrive within 3–7 business days after they ship. International delivery times vary by destination and local carrier services and may be affected by customs processing. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link by email so you can follow it every step of the way.

Returns & Refunds

Yes. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or below our quality standards, we’ll offer a replacement, store credit, or refund. We may request photos to help resolve the issue quickly.
If tracking shows ‘delivered’ but you can’t find it, please check around your property, with neighbors, and with your local carrier first. If it’s still missing after 24 hours, email us with your order number and we’ll help you file a carrier inquiry and review next steps.
Because coffee is perishable, we don’t accept returns on roasted coffee. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or you have a quality concern, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll offer a replacement, store credit, or refund depending on the situation.

Subscriptions

Absolutely. You can manage your subscription. We recommend making changes at least 5 days before your next charge date to affect the upcoming shipment.
Yes. As a subscriber, you’ll receive exclusive savings on your ongoing deliveries and first access to a rotating set of seasonal coffees—often small lots that sell out quickly. We’ll notify you when early-access coffees go live so you can claim them before general release.
Yes—subscribe to your favorite coffee and choose your delivery frequency (e.g., [weekly/biweekly/monthly]). You can select whole bean or grind, and manage everything from your account.

Payments & Security

Yes. Our checkout is protected with modern encryption, and payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant payment providers. For your safety, we never store your full card number on our servers, and we only use the information needed to complete your purchase and support your order.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, plus fast checkout options including PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Available payment options may vary slightly depending on your device and browser at checkout.

Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing

We support farmers through long-term partnerships built on transparency and fair pay. When available, we share clear origin details on each coffee such as the region, washing station or cooperative, and processing method so you can trace where your cup comes from and feel confident in what you’re buying.
We focus on sustainability in the ways that matter most day to day by sourcing responsibly, roasting in small batches to reduce waste, and continuously improving our packaging choices. Many of our partner farms use traditional, naturally sustainable methods, and we aim to share practical details as they’re available for each coffee and lot.

Wholesale Partnerships

Yes. We offer wholesale programs for cafés, restaurants, retailers, and offices looking for consistently fresh Ethiopian coffee with a story you can stand behind. We can support everything from batch brew and espresso service to retail bags and workplace coffee.
